1. Working Principle
Pressing operation: When the user presses down the pump head, the internal piston generates negative pressure, and the liquid in the bottle is drawn into the pump chamber through the straw, and then squeezed out from the nozzle.
Spring reset: After releasing, the spring pushes the pump head to rebound, and at the same time sucks in the next amount of liquid to achieve recycling.
2. Core structure components
Component name Function description
Pump head (Actuator) The user presses the part, usually with a round or flat mouth design, to control the direction of the liquid outlet.
Lock (Lock/Unlock) Rotating or plug-in switch to prevent leakage due to mis-pressure during transportation or storage (such as "Push & Turn" design).
Piston (Piston) Generates suction through up and down movement to push the liquid to flow.
Dip Tube (Dip Tube) Connects the pump body to the bottom of the bottle to ensure that the liquid is fully extracted.
Spring (Spring) Provides rebound force to reset the pump head.
Gasket (Gasket) Prevents liquid leakage or air from entering and keeps the bottle sealed.
3. Application areas:
The standard push-type lotion pump is suitable for a variety of low to medium viscosity liquid products, and is widely used in the fields of skin care products, daily chemical cleaning products and household cleaners.
In the field of skin care products, this pump head is particularly suitable for moisturizing lotions and body lotions with good fluidity. Its single liquid output is usually controlled between 0.3 and 1.5 ml, which fully meets the needs of daily skin care. For low-viscosity lotions and moisturizing sprays, the standard push-type pump head is also applicable, and some products will also be equipped with a fine spray head to enhance the use experience. In terms of essences, it is suitable for essence products such as hyaluronic acid with a thinner texture, but it should be noted that essences containing highly active ingredients such as VC are recommended to use a vacuum pump design with better anti-oxidation performance. In addition, water-based or micro-emulsified makeup removers can also use this pump head, but it must be ensured that the pump head material has solvent resistance, and PP material is usually preferred.
In terms of daily chemical cleaning products, the most common application of push-type pump heads is hand sanitizers. Such products usually need to be equipped with leak-proof designs, especially large-capacity bottles (more than 500 ml) used in public places. Medium and low viscosity shower gel products are also suitable for this pump head, but it is necessary to ensure that it can withstand long-term pressing and water vapor erosion. For shampoo products, standard pump heads are suitable for formulas with strong fluidity, while higher viscosity formulas containing essential oils may need to use wide-mouth pumps instead. It is worth noting that facial cleansers are only suitable for gel or lotion textures. Cream facial cleansers require hose or hard bottle squeeze packaging.
In the field of household cleaners, dishwashing liquid products need to pay special attention to the chemical corrosion resistance of the pump head. PE or PP materials are usually selected to avoid aging problems caused by long-term use. Medium viscosity liquids such as fabric softeners are also suitable for standard pump heads, but their alkali resistance also needs to be considered. For cleaning spray products, although standard press-type pump heads can be used, many manufacturers will choose to switch to spray pumps to obtain better coverage.
